Damien is a certified personal trainer, 200 Hr Yoga instructor, nutrition counselor, keto enthusiast, and lifestyle designer. In February 2020, Spin Outside as awarded a permit and license by the City and Port of San Francisco to operate our outdoor adventure & fitness company, SpinOut Fitness.

A year after acquiring his first custom made waterbike from Schiller Bikes, a local Bay Area manufacturer located in Mill Valley, Damien was nudged to start taking people out on tours. His neighbors, cyclists, and other water lovers begged him to make his casual trips an official business; hence Spin Outside LLC was born. He also partners with a unique robotic production studio near Silicon Valley (San Carlos, CA) called Light Grid Media.

Polly Bates has been studying, performing, and teaching movement for over a decade. As a touring dancer, stilt walker, and acrobat she had to learn the hard way how to take care of her body.  When a completely torn ACL in her knee threatened her career, she realized she needed help and began working with a trainer. Polly was able to heal her body through consistent, intentional movement and avoid surgery entirely. She was inspired by what she accomplished with this targeted approach and her journey led her into a career in fitness so she could help others as well.

Her motto is: Let ME help YOU take care of YOU, so WE can take care of US.

Polly believes our bodies have so much to teach us if we can just learn to listen. She can help you take charge of your health by guiding you to work with your unique body/mind/spirit and develop practices that not only prevent and manage injuries, but also help you live a long, balanced, and joyful life. Polly takes an integrated approach that incorporates functional fitness, resistance training, breath work, meditation, and somatic awareness practices.
